12th Spa Mall Birthday Party! INVITATIONS: Make invitations with all of the necessary time, date, location, and activities and make them as simple or as creative as you would like. Avoid passing invitations out in school if you are not inviting the entire class to avoid hurt feelings. Keep the guests small unless you have a larger budget (I only had $120). I invited three girls and we had a lot of fun. DATE & TIME: I held my birthday party on a Saturday, and had the party from 11:30 - 2:30. The parents dropped everyone off at the restaurant at 11:30 and picked them up at 2:30 at the spa. ACTIVITIES: When everyone met at the restaurant we had lunch and then my parents picked us up at the restaurant after an hour. They drove us to the mall, where we had planned a scavenger hunt. We were divided in pairs and each pair was given a disposable camera and a list of things to photograph (i.e. Take a picture of yourself with the manager of a particular store). We met at the food court after an hour and then my parents drove us the day spa. While we were having manicures and lots of fun my parents took the disposable cameras to a one-hour photo development place so we could see the pictures after our pampering at the spa. We were served refreshments at the spa and there we had some snacks and birthday cake. The pictures were developed and the girls that had the most pictures after the amount of time won $5 gift certificates each to Claire's. Then the girls were picked up after the cake and snacks. ADVICE: Remember not to be fussy over the schedule and rules and to remember to have FUN! PARTY FAVORS: For the party favors, each girl was given a small make-up bag with lip gloss, nail polish, lotion, a nail file, and candy! BUDGET: I managed this with $120. Here is how it was spent: Spa treatments - $15 each (total $60), Lunch - $30, Snacks - $10, Disposable cameras - $10, favors - $10. It was such a fun party and so economical! I would love to do this again!
