This was my little girls 10th birthday and it was titled Sumer's Birthday Spa". We started by hand making the invitations. They were printed out on the computer and we
used a hole punch to make two holes in the top of them. Then we took some ribbon and tied a bow at the top.
They stated as follows: This is to confirm your upcomming appointment at Sumers Birthday Spa at Sumers house on Saturday January 19th 2008 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00a.m. Bring your cutest PJ's sleeping bag and a pillow. Please confirm you appt. by calling (which was our home phone number.) We hand delivered these to the girls at their homes. All 12 girls called and said they would be attending and showed up as scheduled. They were all so excited. The house was decorated with spa birthday supplies I ordered off of the computer. The cake was one of the 3 tier glamour cakes from publix. It was so beautiful we hated to cut it and it went really well with the theme. The first thing we did was facials for each girl. They had cucumbers for their eyes while doing the mask. They liked this. This was done All at the same time and was a great picture opportunity. At this station I gave each girl a little box to put their goodies in that they will get at each station. We also played a couple of games at this station that let each girl learn something about the girl sitting next to them. I had "stations" set up with one or two workers at each station. I had a stations for each of these hair make-up manicures pedicures massage and a glamour photo station. My mom and sister are both cosemtologist so my mom done up-do's for each little girl and my sister done manicures for each one. At these stations they got a little hair brush set and some nail polish to go in their little take home treat box. My step-daughter and her friend had the message station. They had my sons bedroom with candles burning Nora Jones playing softly on the radio one of the mood water fountains that does the mist thing on and they gave each girl a 20 minute chair massage. At this station each girl got some chocolate to go in their treat box. A couple of the girls from my church youth group came and done the pedicure station. Each girl got a foot massage and toes painted. At this station each girl got a little pedicure set with the toe seperators and all for their treat box. My niece and a friend of hers done the girls make-up station. At this station each girl got some lip-gloss to go in their take home treat box. The last station the girls went to was the glamour shots station. I have a friend that is a professional photographer and she done glamour shots of each girl. At this station the girls got a little wallet sized photo frame for their take home box. While all of this was going on my daughters brothers(2) were serving the girls h'ordervs on silver serving platters dressed as waiters. They served cheese and ritz crackerspigs in a blanket the girls were also served the white grape juice that comes in the wine bottle in little plastic champagne glasses that I had purchased from walmart. My husband was the chef of the night dressed in the full chef attire white appron chefs hat and all. For the main course we ordered pizzas and a friend went and picked them up for me. I was the one helping keep every one on track and fill in for my helpers. My boys helped change water for the manicure and pedicure stations. All of this spa stuff went on for about 3 hours. I had a lot of help from many people. It was a lot of work. After the "spa" was over I had movies rented for the girls to watch and I had every minute planned out. There was not one argument the entire night with the girls. The next girls cinnamon rolls were served for breakfast before they left. A week or so later each girl received a hand written thank you note along with one of their glamour shot photos for their picture frames. The kids are still talking about this party and I don't know what I'm gonna do next year. "
