Splish Splash Beach Party My daughter Rajah was going to turn 7 and it was summer time so we decided to have a beach party.
We rented an open hut on the beach and hung streams of dark and light blue paper to represent the colors of the water, then we cut out fish shapes from cardboard attached them to the crepe paper and allowed them to blow in the breeze. We bought a kiddy pool that we filled with sea water and sea urchins small fish and sea cucumbers and left it on the beach for the kids to use as a touch pool. We barbecued chicken and hot dogs, we also served fruit on skewers. At the end of the party the kids had a treasure hunt on the beach we hid the clue to the hidden treasure inside one of large sea shells that were hidden and sent the kids on a sea shell hunt once all the shells were collected the kids had to look inside them for the clue which led to the hidden treasure, which I had buried about a foot under the beach sand in a treasure box which was made from and very small hard suitcase which I picked up at a local thrift store. The treasure box was filled with tons of fishy toys and treats for everyone.
