For My sons 4th birthday, We had a Spongebob party. He as well as the guest had a great time! My son and I had a blast preparing for the big event.
I printed the invitations off of nickjr.com. We asked our guest to join us for a krabby patty(hambergers). For decorations, I bought a pinapple, palm tree, fishing net at amols.com. I also bought the spongebob table cloth and the birthday banner which I hung in the fishing net. The funniest decoration was the jelly fish that we made out of pink balloons. I made red circles on the top of the balloon and got two sided tape and wrapped it around the center on the balloon. I stuck pink streamers on the tape. I huge the "jelly fish" on the 4 blades on the ceiling fan. My son turned the fan on and we laughed so hard at seeing the "jelly fish" swimming around. I only wish I could of had a buzz sound as they were going around. I bought 3 shovel and pails at the dollar store for the baked beans, fruit salade and the potato salade. I bought a large shell bowl at amols for the hambergers. I made a carribean punch. I found spongebob cups at our dollar store. I used the plain yellow plates and plastic ware from the dollar store too. It looked adorable all put together. For the cake. I ordered the spongebob cake decoration off of ebay. It has his face, arms pants, legs and a hat. I made a simple 13X9 boxed cake. Colored the icing yellow. Presto! We had spongebob! My son loved it! I also ordered my sons spongebob t-shirt that he wore off of ebay. I had 3 activities planned with prizes. All my prizes were from the dollar stores. I found the gummy krabby patties, 3 gummy suckers of spongebob, patrick and squidward, spongebob band aids, spongebob kites, a spongebob car freshener, and of course for the adults, I had yellow kitchen sponges. I printed the spongebob crossword puzzle off nickjr.com. We had adults and some older children, so that worked well for them. I had an adult work with each preschooler so they could participate. They knew ALL of the answers! I printed "pin the pants on spongebob off of nickjr.com too. The preschoolers had a great time with that! Our final activity was "fishing for the millionth dollar". I found chocolate coins at the dollar store. We bagged them into baggies. We put paper clips on each baggy and threw them on to our pool cover. My husband put magnets on the end of some fishing poles and the guest "fished for mr krabs millionth dollar". Young and old had a great time with this! For the party favors, I bought Wiltons spongebob cookie kit. Each guest took home a cookie in a yellow cellophan bag. My son origanally wanted to go to Chukecheese, but we talked him into having a party at home and he LOVED it!
