For my son's 2nd birthday, we gave him a spongebob party. I purchased sb invitations & thank you cards from Target. Since his birthday is in the winter and we couldn't have it outside we
had it at a recreation center. The children's (ages 2-11) activities were swimming, game room, treefort(play house area w/slides) and rock climbing. For decor I purchased poster boards and
stickers plus did some drawing to make signs that read: Welcome to Bikini Bottom, a picture of the krusty krab w/ some of the cast that said Welcome and another for the krusty krab menu. I
also purchased royal blue, yellow, and kiwi lime green balloons and streamer to mimic the sea. The blue balloons portrayed the ocean with 5 strands of kiwi curling ribbon hanging for seaweed
and every other balloon had a paper fish, starfish or sealife creature hanging from it. Also there was a glass wall in the party room where you could see the children swimming so I put paper
sealife creatures there also. The blue and kiwi streamer I draped around the room to imitate the sea and seaweed and the yellow was to imitate coral. For tables I brought sb tablecloths and
sprinkled lua confetti all over them. For my centerpieces I had sb plush dolls holding blue, yellow and green balloons. The cake/present table had a blow-up sb on a crate with netting over it
with a starfish that said gifts. Plates, cups, napkins and plastic ware were blue and yellow. Where I hung my krusty krab and menu signs the Maine Lobster Course: krabby patties, (white
castles), sea rings, (chicken rings), coral fries (crinkle cut) and Mrs. Puffs popcorn shrimp. Crabatizers: multi-colored goldfish in a blue bowl and krabbystixs (pretzelstixs). Drinks:
Jellyfish liquid (lemonade) and ocean breeze punch (blue hawaiian punch). Dessert: krabby cake & ice cream. I ordered a sb cake from a personal baker. For some x-tra fun we played freeze
dance w/ the sb cd, a sb quiz and the sb toss (kids toss a sb sponge through a posterboard of his mouth). The prize was a 12 inch plush sb toy. We also had a spongebob poster size board that
I cut a hole in for the childrens head to take polaroid photos of each child. I made multi-colored picture frames out of popsicle sticks w/metallic colored stickers and a small banner that
read: Spongebob Birthday Celebration 2004 for each child's photo. For the children's treat bags I filled each w/ 2 of the following sb bubbles, a sb puzzle, sb straw, sb whistle, sb pinball
game or a sb paddle & ball (Party City on clearance). Also each was stuffed w/sb cheese nips, sb fruit snacks, and a sb krabby patty (gummi candy). The party was a BLAST and the children
and adults had a really good time. I actually enjoyed doing it. Some very helpful sites are: Nickjr.com, dltk-kids.com and pineappleunderthesea@group.msn.com and this site as well.
