Spongebob Square Pants Birthday party: For my son's 8th birthday we had a spongebob squarepants theme party. For the games, I made a bean bag toss game where I took a med. size box,  painted spongebob on it and cut out a large whole where his mouth is. The kids would take the bean bags i made out of felt and dryed beans (hot glue or sew felt- fill with dryed beans) and throw it into his mouth from the starting line. They won a prize if they made 3 in a row. The secong game-, I took a empty 2 liter soda bottle, wire for arms and red felt and made "Mr. Crab's ring toss game". I made it by  poking a whole through the sides of the bottle and stuck wire threw the wholes for his arms. I covered it with felt- but you can use paper- and decorated it as a crab. For the rings that the kids would throw- I took plastic lids to coffee can tops and cut the center out of the top- which made a ring. The kids would throw the rings to the crab and try to get the ring to land on his arms or top of head- (which is the soda bottle top). I also took a plain container- colored fish on it- took a deck of "go fish" game cards and the kids would throw the cards and try to get them to go in the bucket- they'd win a prize if they got one in. The last game i made was "pin the tail on Sandy" (spongebob's friend.  I took white poster board- drew and colored all of Sandy- but not her tail. On a seprate piece of poster board- I drew, colored and cut out her tail. And put tape on the back of her tail so it would stick to the picture when the kids would pin it on.(If you don't like to draw or don't have time- u can copy and inlarge a picture of her without her tail.) I had a pair of kids swimming goggles- so i cut some black paper and covered the goggles so the kids couldn't see through them. The kids took turns wearing the goggles and trying to pin sandy's tail on. For some of the food we had p&J's which were called peanut butter and jelly fish. And i took empty cupcake liners and filled them with spongebob cheese nips- or the goldfish crackers would work also. We had so much fun and in a few weeks I'm doing a tweety bird party for my soon to be 1 year old girl. Already I drew and painted Silvester on a box- cut a large whole where his mouth would be and the kids will throw yellow felt bean bags that look like tweety in his mouth for prizes! Not sure what else i'll come up with for the rest of the games and food for the party- but i'll let you know soon!              Tiffany in La.
