Our one-year-old boy loves balls, so we just had to make that the theme for his party. I made the invitation with lots of colorful balls...not sports balls, but beach balls and several different colored and patterned balls.  It said "Our bouncing baby boy is one year old, so LET'S HAVE A BALL! Roll on over to our house..." We filled the yard with every ball that we own...lots of sizes, colors, and textures...as well as a colorful, inflatable ball pit.  I had a cake made, and the bakery actually made 3-D balls out of white chocolate to look just like the ones on my invitation. The favor bags included a sparkly rubber ball, malted milk balls, gumballs, and ball stickers.  Since the "ball bash" was after lunch, we served light snacks, including melon balls, falafel balls, and small, round tortilla chips w/salsa. The ages of those attending were between 1 and 3...it was just perfect!!!! SO MUCH FUN!
