My youngest son's first birthday is in March and I have decided to do a Ball Theme.  Since he is still very young and doesn't really have a lot of interests I tried to be observant in watching him and seeing what he most enjoyed playing with.....Balls! I work for a local printing company so I've selected them to do my invitations which have different types of balls on them. I'm going to have the normal sheet cake decorated with balls and do a smaller cake for him to demolish shaped like a ball.  I am going to float little balls in the punch for decoration. And since I'm going to have older kids at the party and my oldest son is 4 I want to include them as well so we will play pin the bat on the ball.  I am going to give out goody bags to go with the theme and we'll make cookies to decorate as balls.  Hope this helps anyone who's at odds with their 1st little one's birthday!
