Jedi Training Academy Train as a Jedi you will." -Master Yoda. This is the front of my Son's 9th birthday party invitation printed over a drawing he did of Yoda. Using VistaPrint I had 50
Large postcards made. The Back read as follows:"You have been selected to train as a Jedi! Your training session is: Friday July 11 2008 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Please rendezvous in the
Galaxy of Burton on the Planet Baraktopia at the Jedi Training Academy (your address here). Your Jedi Master Barak will celebrate his 9th Birthday! Once you have completed training the title
of Jedi Knight will be bestowed upon you at the Jedi Knight Ceremony. Please leave your Padawan weapons at home Lightsabers will be issued upon completion of training. Following the Ceremony
you are welcomed to stay and enjoy an evening of entertainment which includes the viewing of the original 3 Star Wars Movies. Please contact the Jedi Training Facilitator to confirm your
session and reserve your space!" DECORATIONS were simple Black Silver and Royal Blue table coverings paper products and balloons. I used Darth Vader Plastic Head Buckets as the Center
Pieces. Star Wars Movie Music played through out the party. ACTIVITIES began as they arrived. #1-registration the birthday boy welcomed them and sent them on to #2-Uniform Issue Center each
was given a Jedi Vest (made from Muslin with a Strip of Brown Fabric for a Belt) #3-Receive the Official Jedi "Seal" (Tatoos) then to #4-Photo with Darth Vader (the dad dressed as
Darth) these will be sent with the Thank You's #5-Jedi Training Sack put your name on the Bag used during training to collect the prizes. Followed by the Official Welcome and Briefing. Since
there were 32 Jedi's the Games were broken in to stations and we rotated. GAMES 5 in total. 1. Dodge Darth Vader using water balloons each Jedi had 3 chances to hit Darth 1 chance in each of
3 different "spots" while wearing Darth Vader Gloves. Darth could pick up any un-broken balloons and throw them back. 2. Storm the Storm Troopers using the Nerf darts and vests all
but 1 Jedi became Storm Troopers (put on a cardstock mask I had made) the Jedi had 5 darts to use to hit the Troopers. 3. Stacking Cups the game in the "Cantina" as the music played
in the background. 4. Lightsaber Training using Bubble Wands as the Lightsabers pairs of Jedi's had to keep a balloon afloat. 5. Yoda's Obstacle Course while carrying Yoda ( a very cool
backpack I bought on eBay) the kids had to run an Obstacle Course just like Luke did. Group Games: 1. Name that sound we compiled a cd with various sounds. 2. Asteroid Field using glow in the
dark eggs break the kids in to 2 teams. Line up on different sides and in 30 seconds try to get more eggs on the other side by throwing them back.
PINATA of course there was one a Darth Vader Head and we did as suggested took apart a Lightsaber and put wood and painted it as the "stick" it was filled with Bubble Gum Only! PRIZES/FAVORS were given at each station all were Star Wars or Glow. Each Jedi was presented with a Certificate and Light up Lightsaber at the Jedi Knight Ceremony. The CAKE looked like Yoda's "Bust" using a Yoda Head from a Christmas stocking and making a cake in a domed pan. Ice Cream a variety of the different flavors of Klondike Bars (they were such a hit last year we did it again.) COSTUMES I dressed as Leia and Mike dressed as Darth birthday boy was Luke. The AFTER PARTY. When it was "over" the pool was Opened and the kids swam or played. The yard was transformed in to an outside Movie Theatre. Using a Projector and Computer the movies could be shown at dusk. I made a Screen from a King Mattress Cover. We hung it between 2 large trees. Put blankets and chairs out. Hot Dogs Tubs of Popcorn with a Flavor Station and Full Size Candy (1 each). The kids could play or watch the movies. Did I mention there were just as many adults as Jedi's? All whom Play the same games help watch the kids and keep things moving? Our Party started at 6:00pm and the last 5 families left at 2:30am. We made it through the first 2 movies kids fell asleep on the lawn. It was great. And "NO" the police were not called. "
