Star Wars party for my 4 year old son. We had siblings so we had all ages from 2-8. This was a winter party and was mostly done indoors. I made the birthday invitation using software and had a pic of my son and two Jedi Knights. Invitation read: "Star Wars - Episode IV - A Birthday Party. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a baby boy was born. He is destined to become a great Jedi Knight ans save the galaxy. Come join the celebration as this young Padawan begins his Jedi training." When the guests arrived they had to complete Jedi training and were taught four lessons. Lesson 1) Listening/pay attention - played "Light, light, saber" (duck, duck, goose). Lesson 2) Using the Force - keep a balloon in the air and not let it touch the ground. Lesson 3) Speed - pod race. We took two rectangular boxes and added wings, then spray painted silver to create spaceships. Put them on a car creeper so they would roll. Each ship fit 2 kids so we had races up and down the street - the kids loved it! Lesson 4) Badge of Courage - retrieve glowing moon rock. We took glow bracelets and blew them up inside balloons. Filled a dark room with 75 balloons - about 25 of them glowing - added a black light for cool effect. The kids were so excited. They went into the room in pairs and retrieved their moon rock. Some chose to pop the balloon to retrieve the glow bracelet. After the presents/cake we had Darth Vader (my hubby - mask/voice changer/cape) come out and award each Jedi Knight with a light saber (dollar store). The light saber lit up and made noise and was their party favor, along with the glow bracelet. Took one final picture with kids/Darth Vader. Extras - we had "Yoda Soda" 7-up with green food coloring and "Vader Punch" red punch. Printed out Yoda/Darth pictures to cover labels on liter bottles. Printed up Star Wars coloring pages for younger guests to color. Had Star Wars pictures up everywhere and house decked out with streamers/balloons. All 15 guests had a great time!
