I used a lot of ideas from the other Star Wars parties on the website. This is for my son's fifth birthday. All the invited boys (7 plus my son and daughter) are big Star Wars/Clone Wars fans. INVITATIONS: We used the standard Clone Wars invites from Target. We also used the matching cups and napkins. WELCOME: As the boys entered, we had a big pile of legos set out on our train table.  They could build anything they wanted with samples of spaceships available to look at.   PIZZA PREP: We had prebaked individual pizza crusts.  The boys added their own toppings/sauce/cheese and my MIL baked the pizzas while they played games. GAMES:  They were first given their lightsaber which was a pool noodle cut in half with duct tape at one end for a handle. For the first game, they counted to see how long they could keep a black balloon in the air with the light sabers. Next they moved to four game stations. The kids were split in two groups so that my husband and I could better handle the smaller groups. The stations they rotated between were (1)Throw bombs at Darth Vader. The bombs were black water balloons. Darth Vader was a plastic poster from a party supply store.  This was a big hit and they could have gone through many more water balloons than the 50 be made.  (2) Fight Darth Vader with your light saber.  Darth Vader was another black balloon hanging on a string from our playset.  (3) Spaceship Landing - They used frisbees for space ships and tried to land them into hula hoops. (4) Vaporize Enemy spaceships - We drew simple space ships and bad guys on the side of the house with sidewalk chalk. The kids used blasters (aka water guns) to vaporize or erase the enemy.  NEXT was the pinata. We made our own death star pinata. There is a tutorial on the Star Wars website. THEN for the last game, we set up a bubble machine.  The boys had a choice of using their lightsabers of blasters to take down the bubbles.   FOOD: Next the boys came inside to eat their pizzas, cake and ice cream.  The cake was a 3-dimensional R2D2.  This was followed by gifts. We had 20-30 minutes left and let the kids freeplay in the backyard.  They prefered to fight and chase more bubbles with their light sabers and blasters.  They loved the freeplay and most didn't want to leave.  I also added a Star Wars Pez dispenser to each of their pinata bags. Overall the biggest hit of the party was the light sabers.  It was a fairly inexpensive and easy party.
