Star Wars Party: My son wanted to have a Star Wars party, so we tried to go all out. For the invitations I had my brother in law draw a characature of my son fighting Darth Vader which
turned out great.
We did the party at our church because our house was not big enough. For decorations I went online and scanned pictures of the different star wars character and went to kinkos and had them blown up and put them on the wall with a description of all characters beside it. I had all our star wars memorabilia all around teh room. All the children had glow in the dark necklaces tehy used for lightsabers, great idea but some people ended up getting hurt. I put black tablecloth along one wall so our guest could take a picture with Darth Vader. For Food it was really cool, My husband dressed up in his black pants, gloves, army boots, and we had the voice changing mask, and he picked up pizza at dominoes pizza dressed like this and delivered it to the kids. For drinks we had yoda soda which was green with dry ice to have a foggy effect, and a red drink for the dark side and did the dry ice and the kids just loved it. We then had a star wars scavenger hunt. we put the hints inside a balloon red ballons for the dark side and blue balloons for the light side. In the background we had Star wars music playing in the background. Each table was covered in black tablecloths with a row of black lights running down the middle. The kids loved it when we turned out the lights and they could see teh glow necklaces, the kids got to take home the pictures of them with Darth Vader, ( my husband) The cake we had I made and put two of the lego space ships and some mini storm troopers and jedis with lightsabers. Beside the cake was the Huge Millenium Falcon that was on clearence for $10 after Christmas at Target. My son wants to have another like it, it will be hard to top this one, hopefully these ideas will help someone else.
