Star Wars Party- 7yr old For my son's Star Wars party we booked the location at a local Discovery Museum.  The museum offered much hands on activities and a planetarium show for the kids and adults.  Upon arrival each kid received a blow up light saber to play with.  Then the kids were allowed plenty of time to explore the museum and all of its activities.  Later for crafts each child was given a clear plastic ball ornament and loads of items to choose from--- pom poms, pieces of felt, stickers, pipe cleaners, etc.- to stuff their ball with to make their very own PLANET.  This went over really well.  And since my child's birthday is close to Christmas the kids had new ornaments to hang on their tree at home.  My son does not like cake, nor chocolate chip cookies, or even cupckaes.  This always presents a challenge. This time I had a local bakery bake up several plain sugar cookies. I bought several tubes and cans of icing in traditional starwars colors--- orange, red, blue, green, black, and yellow. At the party for our special birthday treat each child was given several sugar cookies and told decorate their cookies with their favorite starwars character or light saber.  Most of the kids enjoyed just eating everything.  A few of the very artistic kids really got into it.  After the cookies the kids and adults went into the planetarium for a show. Everyone really enjoyed this!! After the show our time was up-- The kids were given treat boxes with starwars stickers, glow in the dark stars, and some starwars gummies.  They were also allowed to take their star wars blow up saber home.  The party was a big hit. All had loads of fun.
