Star Wars Party 4yr old- This was an outstanding party! I planned it out for 3 months, it was well worth it. First, remove all decorative things out of your room, have a clean slate. Then
start to work. I ordered a Darth Maul stand-up which ran about $30, that stood next to a glowing red globe, which represented the Darkside. Our entrance was dangling glow in the dark stars
which hung from the ceiling by our front door. Really cool because you feel like you entered into a new world. We had black glossed type balloons with foiled stars taped on. I made bouquets
with the balloons and hung them in corners of the room (6 balloons in each bouquet). Then, I purchased a 3D outer space decor that ran across the ceiling, So basically you have this space
background on your ceiling with planets dangling down. I added foil stars that I made out of Aluminum foil and placed on the walls. I had a strobe light flashing the walls so the stars lit up
the room. I placed glow sticks behind my aquarium so that my fish glowed (cool effect). My best idea was using my sconces, I replaced my candles with small metal bowls and added dry ice into
each one, which gave fog coming out of the walls flowing to the ground. I made a star garland and placed it on my mantle (silver stars wrapped on bendable wire with a touch of icicles
trimmed, from x-mas tree) I framed an 11x13 StarWars poster and placed it above the mantle, for finishing touch I lit two red candles above the mantle. I played the Star Wars movie
while guests arrived. With the cake, I bought a velvet red cake and put my son's Darth Maul Model (which has him posing with red flame around him) on top of the cake. It looked to cool to
eat. Iused a black table cloth and cover the top with foil. I wrapped all favors in foil and placed them throughout the room (moon rocks). What was really neat for the kids was when they
arrive to the party, they are given a cloak which was made by me, I took fabric and made each child their own cloak, that buttons in the front. Then my friend who was dressed exactly like a
Jedi asked each child a question, depending on their answer they are given a certain color of lightsaber which we purchased at a toy store. This was also a party favor they get to take home.
Our centerpiece on the table was one of those electricty globes, all the kids touched it and were fascinated by it. The birthday boy was dressed exaclty like Anikin Skywalker. We were all
dressed up as if we were from the Star Wars era. It took a lot of sweat and patience to make each costume.
For entertainment, My husband is a martial artist so him and his two friends dressed up as Darth Lords and performed in front of the kids outside. First, all kids and parents are seated outside. We play the Star Wars soundtrack, Introduction of Darth Maul, One Darth Lord runs out from the house and the two other Darth Lords enter from each side of the building and start a battle scence with lighted lightsabers. A lot of my neighbors thought we were doing a movie. LOL!!! the kids were screaming with excitement. After the performance the Jedi Knights (my husband and two friends change costumes) come out and start Jedi training. Once they have completed, the young jedi's battle with the Darth Lords. All the parents were laughing at that. Afterwards, the kids took pictures with the Darth Maul stand up and with the Darth Lords. We had cake and ice cream. I made blue Kool-Aid and made red and yellow ice cubes with food coloring. This way the kids can add a red ice cube into their kool-aid and it will turn purple, or they can add a yellow ice cube and it will turn green. My niece freaked when she suddenly noticed that her kool-aid was now purple. She thought she had someone else's juice! I made hoagie sandwiches, eggrolls, a veggie tray, popcorn balls with different kinds of toppings, meat and cheese tray, and of course, all the goodies and munchies kids love. Once the party was over each Darth Lord gave each child a medallion, which is just craft string and silver ball beads. Kids loved it. The party turned out so well, I've been asked to plan a couple of kid's parties next year. Sounds like a career....hmmm. I hope my ideas will be helpful for everybody. Enjoy!
