My five year old son wants a Star Wars party and here's what I've come up with!
We will have "Decorate Your Home Planet". I have cut out circles from cardboard, sprayed them with florescent (sp) colors and the kids will decorate with glitter, 3-D paint and sequins. They can take these home and hang them from the ceiling. We will have an all out "Water Balloon War". We will make Snow Globe Planets" with baby food jars, glitter, and foil balls. We will have a Moonwalk, of course and the kids are welcome to come in costume. Our cake will be black (hmmm) with glitter frosting and Star Wars characters. The goody bags will include, "Space Putty" (silly putty), astronaut food (freeze dried ice cream), candy light sabers and moon rocks (gold painted rocks. Wouldn't be complete without a pinata, decorate like a planet and smashed with a "light saber" (decorated stick!) We are really excited about this one! I got some blue metallic paper from the art supply store, cut it into spaceships and wrote the invitation on the back. Then we punched holes in the bottom and strung on paper stars so it can be used as a mobile. Turned out really cute!
