For my daughters 3rd birthday she wanted Strawberry Shortcake. So here is what we did.  I purchased a Strawberry Shortcake coloring book from my local Dollar Tree.  We went to out local Kinkos and had some of the color pages blown up to poster size. And some 11 x 14 pick lots of characters.  Pupcake, custard, lots of strawberries, Strawberry shortcake, Apple Blossom, Orange Blossom, Angel Cake just pick as many characters as you have time to color the more the better. (make some extra 8 1/2 by 11 just to use for color pages for your party as well.  My husband and I colored those pages that we were using for decorating and then I cut them out.  Using cardboard/posterboard to make them stiff we put one by the mailbox with Strawberry sitting in flowers with balloons attached to the mailbox then we put one like she was walking up the sidewalk and she was holding a large cupcake and decorated the walkway with side walk chalk with strawberries and cupcakes etc. using ideas from the coloring book. We took the others and hung up in the birthday area and made a scene from that.  I took one of the pages that had a strawberry plant and made many copies of it and colored them and cut those out to resemble a strawberry patch cutting out the strawbberries and attaching with green pipe cleaners so that the strawberries dangled out from the wall. (this was so adorable) Then of course we had a strawberry shortcake birthday cake the birthday girl wore the strawberry shortcake hat and wore a cute strawberry shortcake outfit and smelled like strawberries with her strawbery scented body spray and I made chocolate candy in the shape of ice cream cones and the cones were milk chocolate and the tops were some were pink with sprinkles and some were white with sprinkles.  We had a special drink for her party. It is really cool. Take a clear drink and add cubed jello we used a red and green (the flavors were strawberry and melon) and you add those to your clear drink with cubed ice and it is so cute.  My daughter calls it her special drink".  It is absolutely adorable and we used clear cups so you can see the colors coming through the cup goes great with the colors in the theme. Then I made cookies some of which we decorated in the shapes of cupcakes (from a cookie cutters) green and red m&ms in a clear bowl and I also bought colored jelly bellies in the colors of pink green and red also. We had mini blueberry muffins. I had the gummmi candies in the shapes of strawberries sitting around for decoration and for eating.  We had strawberry Jams CD playing and I got a strawberry scented candle that was in my burner ( that plugs up no lighting or flames ) and strawberry oil in my burners and there is a strawberry spray you can get to add some extra strawberry scent to the room.  So we had everything of strawberry scent to go along with our theme.  I got plastic strawberry (pint ones) baskets from the strawberry patch and filled them with discounted easter grass in pink and green and we found and picked strawberries.  You can purchase candy (they are called strawberry bon bons) and they look like a strawberry the wrapper does and there is a hard candy inside with a soft chewy center.  And hide those accordingly with the age you have so that little ones can find them hang then on bushes where they can pick them etc. and they put them in their baskets etc. They played hop scotch on the sidewalk etc for games.  We also had regular choc chip cookies peanut butter cookies for those who may not want the decorated cookies. Of course we purchased Strawberry shortcake plates napkins and centerpiece and confetti for the tables. Using pink plates also . I also added to their favor bags a marshmellow ice cream sundae that comes with a pack of choc sauce that they can squeeze out on top of their marshmellow ice cream sundae.  This was really cute. I added these to the totes that I purchased.  Also bought a strawberry kit from target 6 in a pack with the cup to plant the strawberry etc. and each child planted their own strawbery plant and took that home with them.  For favors we had Target had in their dollar section a cosmetic bag that is pink with the green and white stripe that was cloth very adorable... so i purchased these and they also had the lip balm that was strawbery shortcake and the body wash and body lotion and a lil tote with the handles and the totes had strawberry shortcake on them as well.  so i purchased those and put there make up items in their cosmetic bags ( also purchased from walmart strawberry scented glitter body spray and bon bon lip stuff and added to the cosmetic bag. Then for the tote I had their body wash lotion and a strawberry shortcake bracelet sunglasses strawberry cotton candy and apple scented bubbles bath fizzies etc. and the small strawberry shortcake favor box which just had the stickers kilidoscope party blow out ring and press on sticky ear rings. We sang the A very Happy Birthday to you from the strawberry shortcake movie meet strawberry shortcake and they watched this movie as well for a quite thing to do. I am sure that I have forgotten something but this is for the most part what we did.   This was one of the cutiest birthdays and worked out so "BERRY well"."
