My kids are turning 14 and 6 this year. My teen is into comic books and my kindergartener is into superheroes so I decided to throw a Weapon X party. Based on the origin of Wolverine. I made
separate invitations for the teens and the younger kids. For the younger kids I printed the party info on photo paper with a transparent background of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine that I made in
Photoshop. The invite said: Before he was Wolverine he was Weapon X- Join us for T's Mad Science birthday party *PERFORM EXPERIMENTS *GAIN ACCESS TO THE SECRET LAB *ASSIST IN THE GOVERNMENT
OPERATION KNOWN AS WEAPON X* Then I rolled the invitation up and stuffed it inside a baby soda bottle test tube. For the teens I printed out a Memorandum with the Canadian seal at the top
instructing them to report to the address indicated at 1330 hours. I also included a MILITARY CRITICAL TECHNICAL DATA contract that designated access to things like Restricted Data¯ and
Intelligence Information¯ and approval to Receive Classified Documents and Fabricate, Modify or Store Classified Hardware¯ I put these pages into a file folder labeled CONFIDENTIALI printed
out a poster at the entrance of the party that says: GENERAL LABORATORY INSTRUCTIONS: If you are 13 years of age or older please take a SILVER Mutant Test Subject¯ ticket. If you are 3 years
of age or younger please take an ORANGE Jr. Scientist¯ ticket. If you are 4 to 12 years old please take a BLUE Mad Scientist ticket. I made the tickets in Photoshop from an image I got off
the internet, and then printed them out on photo paper. The SILVER tickets were for the dunk tank and they read: CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE BEEN CLEARED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WEAPON X PROGRAM
AS A MUTANT TEST SUBJECT. PLEASE PROCEED TO STATION 1 WHEN READY. YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR WEAPON X KIT UPON SURVIVAL OF THE EXPERIMENTATION PROCEDURE. The Weapon X kit was a silver mylar bag
with Wolverine Dog Tags that I got from OTC, a Weapon X comic book, a X-Men Origins: Wolverine collectible Slurpee cup from 7-11, and some Pop-rocks.
The ORANGE tickets were for the Pin the Goggles on the Professor game and they read: CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE BEEN CLEARED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WEAPON X PROGRAM AS A JR SCIENTIST. PLEASE PROCEED TO STATION 2 WHEN READY, WHERE YOU WILL BE GIVEN A LABORATORY ASSIGNMENT AND RECEIVE YOUR LAB EQUIPMENT. Here the toddlers got a laboratory treat box from OTC filled with things like Wolverine blowers, laboratory stickers, and scientist stamps. The BLUE tickets were for the Mad Science experiments and they read: CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE BEEN CLEARED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WEAPON X PROGRAM AS A MAD SCIENTIST. PLEASE PROCEED TO THE ENTRANCE OF THE SECRET LABORATORY AT 1:45PM. RECEIVE YOUR SECRET LABORATORY ACCESS PACK AND ENTER THE LAB FOR TRAINING. The access pack was a one-gallon sized Ziplock bag. I placed a science name tag sticker on each bag and wrote Dr. (child's name.)" (I got 100 for about a dollar at OTC) and placed them on the front of each bag. Inside was some laboratory putty pop rocks. X-Men Origins: Wolverine straws (from 7-11) and notepads from OTC. The kids got to perform experiments like making slime & viewing different lights with fractal lenses. After the kids finished with their laboratory training I invited them to take part in the Weapon X experiment. I rented a dunk tank for the day from a local party supplies place. My husband was playing Wolverine so we put him in the tank and all took turns trying to dunk him until he went under. Then he put on the plastic Wolverine claws I had put in the tank for him. He climbed out of the tank and attacked the scientist (Me. I was dressed in a lab coat and goggles for the party.) All the teenagers also got an opportunity to get dunked. Whoever got dunked got their Weapon X kit as a prize. After Wolverine escapes the lab the kids all take turns breaking open the Deadpool pinata that I made. I filled it with X-men Origins: Wolverine trading cards and Hershey's miniatures that I covered with personalized Wolverine wrappers that I got from ebay. After the activities we went inside the lab for food cake and gifts. In the lab I had the movie soundtrack playing in the background. I decorated the tables with metallic silver tablecloths silver plastic utensils silver cups and napkins. Silver white and clear balloons and streamers. I had some empty X-Men Origins: Wolverine pizza boxes that they gave me at Papa John's pizza. I cut out all the movie images off the boxes glued tinfoil to the backs and hung them on strings from the ceiling along with some science lab mobiles. I also made posters from images I got from the internet. Images of DNA genetic code biohazard symbols and warning signs like DANGER: RESTRICTED AREA or CAUTION: LASER RADIATION. I covered the walls with a stone wall background from OTC. And the windows with human X-Rays that I got from a science store. I had a ton of extra baby soda bottles left over from the invitations which I filled with blue red green yellow and orange Kool-Aid. I also filled up some graduated cylinders and laboratory beakers with Kool-Aid and made X-shaped Jell-o jigglers. The cake was a replica of the tank where Wolverine got his adamantium skeleton with Roman numeral candles. XIV and VI
