For our daughter 6th birthday we decided to throw her a surprise Princess birthday party. I made the invitations on the computer.
On the outside I wrote, "Once upon a time there was a princess named Kaitlyn who was about to celebrate her 6th birthday..." then on the inside we said...John and Jane Doe request the honor of Jane's presence at the Doe castle. Then I made place mats for all the girls. I would write Princess Jane from the Doe kingdom. Then I laminated it for future use. I had all the girls dress up as princesses. My husband took birthday girl out one hour before to dinner for her birthday. In the mean time we decorated the house with balloons and streamers and for the birthday girl's chair we took red material and made it look like a throne. The girls all arived before the appoited time on the card and we placed crowns bought at walmart. From the hallway to the living room where the party was being held we draped more material to close it off so when she came home whe would see. When she came home all the girls kept quiet as I rushed the birthday girl to her room and made her change into a gold princess dress and put a special Gold crown on her head. As she walk into the living room everyone yelled surprise. Not only was she surprised everyone just thought she was so beautiful princess there which made her feel extra special. There was dancing and singing. The girls just loved and now that she is getting ready to turn seven all the girls want to know what is planned for this one.
