My friend was going to have a party for her 13th birthday, but couldn't, so I threw her a suprise party.
Ater asking her mom, I invited several friends from school by phone, and told them the date and that it was a surprise, so no one would mention it to her. I asked her what she really would like to have in a party so I could make it perfect, but that was a rather dumb thing to do since i almost blew my cover. :) Anyway, the guests arrived half and hour before the party was to start so that we could decorate. We used crepe paper all around the family room and dining room and blew up balloons and tied them to lamps and chairs and such. The food was already set out, so we just put on some music and waited. My friend's mom was going to walk her over to my house with the excuse that her mom had to give my mom a thank-you card for something, and she totally bought it! When she rang the door bell we all answered the door and yelled 'Happy birthday' and 'surprise' and such. then we all walked over to her house to get her stuff ('cause it was a sleep over) and we came back and did a whole bunch of stuff like the ouija board (once it got dark) and clue, etc. When it was dark we had terriyaki skewers and rice in the back yard. For the rest of the night we played games and watched 'the tenth kingdom'. The next morning we had waffles, i think, and then we played life until every one went home. it was a terribly wonderful party!
