So for my daughter's 10th birthday, I threw her a Survivor themed party. It was Survivor Tiki Style.  Invitations went out to each girl that started with The Tribe has spoken you've been invited to Jackie's 10th birthday!" I made the invitations on my computer on card stock and tore up the edge with a little ink smudging for a more authentic look.  For decorations I had wall posters of tiki masks snd palm trees and a few hanging palm trees from light fixtures to simulate a jungle environment.  I also had green and blue garland with tropical fish hanging off that I found in the Laua section of the local party store.  I cleared out our living room to make room for the six invited girls to make a circle around similar to Tribal Council. Since it's been raining we couldn't do any games outside but I had four games that the girls loved that were variations of the games we'd seen on the show.  For each of the games the winner was awarded an Immunity Candy Necklace.  And at the end of the last game the girls with necklaces had their names writtin on tiki-tickets and the name that was drawn at random won 'the ultimate suvivor pack'; a beach bag sandals flashlight kite and lip gloss. The first was Coconut Bowling; I got really cheap plastic bowling pins and set them up and the end of the hallway. Then had 2 coconuts from the grocery store for the girls to use as bowling balls and each girl got to roll twice. The girl with the highest score after 3 rounds won. The second game was Puzzle Mix Up. Before the party I got six 25-piece puzzles that I took out of the box and put individually into brown paper bags that I stapled and decorate with tiki stickers and Survivor logo I found online.  Then I gave each girl a bag and on my call they opened the bag and had to assemble the puzzle without knowing what it looked like.  Then whomever put their puzzle together first won. The next game was a Mystery Food game. I knew I could never get the girls to try mystery foods so instead I got 10 tissue boxes that I emptied the tissues out of and replaced with a small bown with a fruit or vegetable.  I then covered the tissue box with brown contruction paper and paper green leaves so they couldn't see the contents but could still reach in and feel.  Some of the items were brussel sprouts nectarines ginger and garlic. After feeling the contents of each box they had to write down their guess in a little survivor notebook I premade for each girl and at the end the girl with the most correct guesses won.  Next was the Survivor Auction.  I made each girl twenty $1 Survivor Dollars and had ten items that were sealed in brown paper bags that I decorate with tiki stickers. I wrote out clues for each item and they had to bid. Things like facepaint which 'would help you blend in if you ran into some natives' and even one of the immunity necklaces. The girls got a kick when one of them bid $15 on a bottle of water (not realizing what it was). For food I just did chips and pretzels because it was between meals but the real show stopper was dessert- make-you-own-dirt-cake.  I had 8 bowls of sweets that were given nature-names like chocolate pudding was mud nerds were fish eggs broken hersey bars were rocks gummy worms were worms and crushed chocolate graham cookies were dirt.  Each girl had a clear plastic bowl and could create their own levels of dirt cake that they loved devouring.  After 'dirt cake' and presents each girl got a goodiebag with a packet of gummy worms and a CD that I made with 10 songs that my daughter 'could not survive without'.  After all the festivities were done the girls wanted to create more survivor games even without prizes because they had so much fun.  It was only a 2 1/2 hour party but just perfect and my daughter in turn had a very memorable day."
