Survivor Party 10 year old.  I had a Survivor Party for my 10 year old son and it was a big hit. The boys were very curious when they got the invitation. I downloaded the Survivor from the internet. I also used the logo and had it on the birthday cake. I allowed 2 1/2 hours for the party which was just enough time. I did 7 challenges. I had an 8th challenge planned just in case. The first challenge was Ice Cube Melt. I put raisens in ice cubes and told the boys they were tics. The first to melt the ice cube in their hands, without dropping it, then eat the tic was the winner. Next was the Lemon Wedge Challenge. I sliced lemons and each boy had to hold in their mouth. The one that could do it the longest won. This challenge took longer than expected because most of them actually liked the lemons. Next was Plate Shoot. I took paper plates, wrote each boys name on a plate and hung the plates with string by a clothes line and the boys used a toy bow and arrow to shoot at the plates. When a name was hit twice, that boy was eliminated. It took a while for this one but the boys really enjoyed it.  Then we did the Icky Food Challenge. I put food under numbered plates and had them draw a number. The number they drew was the numbered plate they had to eat. I had icky food like marshmallows & ketchup, tofu, chopped black olives that I said was chopped water beetles, spam that I told them was dog food, spinach from a can, strained baby food, shredded bittersweet chocolate. I had them eat the food with no hands, first one to eat all the food on their plate won. Some of the boys dived right in, some of them wouldn't even attempt it. Next was the bowl of whipped cream with the bubble gum in the bottom. With no hands, find the gum, blow a bubble, first one to do that wins. This challenge was hillarious. After it was over they had a whipped cream fight! Very Entertaining! We then hosed the boys off and went to the obstacle course. First they had to break 2 balloons by sitting on them, then throw a frisbee into a basket, climb a ladder that is part of out slide, then slide down the slide, walk across a balance beam ( a 2X4 raised very low off the ground) while 2 of the parents squirted them with water guns, then put a basketball under their shirt and ride a scooter thru orange cones without dropping the ball and race across the finish line. They liked that challenge so much they wanted to do it twice. Next we took a break for cake and ice cream. I kept the food simple since the challenges took up a lot of time. After we ate, we had tribal council. There was no voting kids off. They each walked up to a table, wrote the name of who they thought was the ultimate survivor, held up the vote and told why they were voting for that person. The boys at the party we far behind the voting table and couldn't hear what they were saying. The said it to the parents. Then I gathered them around and tallied the votes. The boy with the most votes won ulitmate survivor of the party. We ended tribal council with the opening of presents. All the boys said they had an awesome time. It took a lot of planning and preparation but was well worth it.
