My 10 year old daughter loves the hit show Survivor, so for her birthday we had a Survivor party. First I scanned the Survivor logo onto my computer and used this as the front of the invitation. On the inside I wrote "You are invited to be 1 of 16 castaways marooned at (address of party)"    For the decorations, I purchased several paper palm trees and placed them around the party area. Then I decorated the ceiling of the patio with different shades of green streamers & yellow & green balloons, to give it a jungle appearance.  I also hung up pictures of monkeys & birds.  For the cake, I made a camp fire: I made a simple sheet cake and frosted it a sandy color then I made a round cake and place on top of that and frosted it red for flames. I made chocolate chip cookies in the shape of logs and placed these on top of the "flames". I then purchased some gummy rats and speared them with kabob sticks and placed these around the cake.  For the games we played different survivor games that I adapted for the party from the immunity challenges from the show. Such as: we played the game were each child stood on a piece of paper and had to pick it up and be able to step onto another piece of paper and the last child with a piece of paper to step on wins.  Another game we played, I took easy activity cards - such as 5 + 5, connect the dots, draw a picture of a dog, etc... (5 cards per child - the cards were numbered and each child was assigned a number). The kids had to find their cards and finish the activity. The first child to finish all 5 activities won!    We also played hot "rat" potato to the theme music from the show with a rubber rat. Along with other favorite games such as, pin the tail on the monkey!  For a craft I had the children make their very own immunity necklaces out of beads and plastic string that I picked up at my local craft store.  At the end of the party we held a tribal council meeting. At the meeting is when we opened the presents and at the end instead of voting kids off (which I figured would cause alot of hurt feelings) we played a drawing straw game, and the child with the longest straw was the final survivor and won the grand prize of the party (which I used was a the Fun Pack, which I had purchased online through the Survivor website.)  All the kids loved the party. It was the best party to date that I have had for my daughter.
