I sent my daughter on a scavenger hunt.  All of her friends met at our house. she thought we were just having her friends over for pizza and an overnight. About 30 minutes after all the girls arrived a huge black stretch limo pulled up with an magnetic sign on the side saying Happy 16th Birthday Madalyn. The driver rang the doorbell and Madalyn was told to answer it. She opened the door to a limo driver awaiting her and her friends for a special treat. She (they) were so excited.  (they did not know either...I could not have told them because they would have told her!!)   Now, the behind the scenes work had already been done.  We picked 4 stops of significance (Dairy queen, Starbucks, The Works Restraunt, Aunts house) and had taken a gift and a clue at each stop.  The driver had the itinerary in case there was an oops with the clues. but basically the driver picked them up took them to dairy queen for cake and Ice cream..got a gift from the manager (that we had purchased) along with a driving clue for the next destination which was The works restraunt.  Once there she picked up a gift from her aunt that works there and another clue.  She left there and went to her other aunts house and got another gift and another clue. Finally with a really long route back home they finished off with Starbucks a coffee for all the girls and a final gift for Madalyn. the girls had so much fun in the limo. We took pictures had drinks and balloons and snacks in the car..and lots of loud music. I don't think she will soon forget this birthday...neither will her friends. It sounds rather expensive but really only ended up costing around $750.00. Not to bad compared to the MTV Sweet 16 parties! (We had the limo for 3 hours)
