Tea Party - 4 year old.  I made invitation featuring B&W picture of girls at tea asking girls to dress up in Easter clothes (my daughter's bday was right after Easter). Room was decorated with pink and white streamers and tulle everywhere.  Brought patio furniture indoors and covered with lace table cloths. Tulle bows on chair backs. Activity was to make "Southern Belle" hats. Bought straw (fuscia) hats and silk flowers at Wal-Mart. Each girl decorated her hat with tulle bow and flowers using glue gun. I took a picture of all the girls on the front porch with B&W film and sent as thank-you note.  It looks very old fashioned and one of my favorite pictures.  We played two games:  Teacup Tic-Tac-Toe and Musical Teapots. The tic-tac-toe was really bingo.  I made gameboards on computer using teapot clipart.  As I called out a picture, the girls covered it up with a thin mint candy.  Three in a row won a prize. Musical teapots involved each girl standing on a large picture of various teapots (again, off computer clipart and laminated) and playing classical music.  We removed one of the teapots and each girl had to stand on one when the music stopped.  Menu included pink lemonade for tea, fruit skewers and finger sandwiches cut in flower shapes. We set the table with china and the girls enjoyed using their manners and fancy teacups. Finale was a teapot pinata that my daughter and I made. We used an oval helium balloon and then shaped newspaper to make the handle and spout.  It was a very fun party and age-appropriate even for four year olds!
