My senior girl scout troop threw a teddy bear tea for a Brownie troop.
Our centerpieces were real tulips in pots surrounded by our goody bags of (whatelse) gummy-bears tied with teddybears. A place setting was made for each girl and their teddybear. We served sandwiches cut out in bear shapes and flowers. Ham & Cheese, Turkey & Avocado, Cream cheese and jam. On the side we had carrots and ranch dressing, fingerjello, fruit kabobs, lemon tea cookies, petite brownies. We served rasberry ice tea, lemon ice tea and lemonade. We set up for 5 different craft activities: We made bear face purses out of felt. The senior girls pre-cut out the shapes (the template used was a picture from a coloring book) we cut two pieces of dark brown for the head, we used a light brown for the muff and cut out the ears and inner ear, eyes and noses and had each brownie girl put them together using fabric glue (no mess,no sewing), we punched holes and used ribbon for the straps. They also made teddy bear masks out of cardstock, macrame bracelets with bear shaped beads, decorated foam tiaras with bear and heart shaped foam pieces, & the girls did face painting. We also played BEARS-Bingo, we made our own bingo cards and used TeddyBear shaped crackers as our markers. The prizes were of course small teddy bears,& ice cream certificates.
