Teddy Bear Picnic. We had a great Teddy Bear Picnic party for our 4 year old daughter.  We started out the party at a store in our local mall called the "Teddy Bear Junction". Here each child at the party was able to create their very own teddy bear.  They each picked out a bear, stuffed the bear with as much stuffing as they chose.  They were also able to go to the "birthing center" and give their bear a heart, a voice, and a name. After we all created a bear we went back to our house for our "Teddy Bear Picnic". I had a big picnic blanket set up in the back yard and a sack lunch packed for each child (Teddy Bear shaped sandwiches, Teddy Grahms, a bag of fruit.  We also decorated a water bottle for each child.) While the kids ate I read them the book "Teddy Bear Picnic." After lunch we all made clothes for our bears. I bought some plain white T-shirts and lots of things for the kids to decorate their own shirts for their bears.  This was great fun for them and they all looked so proud when they finished.  We then took our bears and had a teddy bear parade to show off our dashing new bears! We then played games with our bears. One of the favorites was putting our bears in the picnic blanket, everyone grabbing a spot along the edge and bouncing the bears in the air to see whose bear stayed in the longest. We also played musical chairs with our bears and we went on a "Bear Hunt".  (The adults hid the bears and the kids had to find their own.) After a Teddy Bear cake, brown bear ice-cream and presents the party ended. This was a very fun party, but it went smooth because I had alot of adult help.  I don't think I could have pulled it off by myself. But the adults had just as much fun as the kids!
