We had a Thomas the Tank Engine party for my three year old. I made a Pin the Caboose on the Train for one of the games. I drew and cut a blue engine, black coal car and yellow car out of
colored foam pages. I pasted them to a firm foam board. The cabooses were red foam with double-stick foam tape with the paper still on one side. I drew the caboose were it should go in black
ink at the end of the train. When it was a child's turn, we would remove the tape, blindfold him/her and let them go. Before we blindfolded them, we asked them if they wanted to be. Some of
the little kids did not want to be. We had 18 months to 10 years old play. There was no winner. They all had fun doing it. The other game we had was bean bag toss. I couldn't find one to buy
so we made it. My husband cut out shapes on plywood. I painted the background and then outline the shapes in primary color. I sewed the bean bags and stuffed them. Everyone (even adults) like
this game. Again, no winners. For gift bags, I made hobo packs out of bandanas and dowels. I included train whistles, bubbles, candy, stickers, a stamp.... All bought at oriental trading.
