Thomas the Tank Engine for 3 year old Boy:
We are preparing for Taiven's 3rd Birthday and it is bound to be the best birthday yet!!! I first got the Thomas party decorations including plates, cups, table cloth, napkins, loot bags, streamers, blowers and hats on 50% off sale!!! Then To fill the bags I went to the local specialty toy store and asked for 8 of the free Thomas activity books. I also purchased 8 mini wooden train whistles that I had burnt on to say ALL ABOARD with the child's name who would receive it and a train painted on the other side. I also got chocolate gold coins and individually wrapped licorice and some other little candies. I then came across little Colgate toothbrushes with trains on them that also came with a toothbrush stand!!! I painted cardboard boxes to look like trains and added paper plate wheels and neck ties so they could be "worn" and played in. For crafts and activities I had a lot of fun picking these out!!! First I got wooden train ornaments small and larger ones the kids each get to paint. I Dyed wheel noodles in black and blue and red for Train Wheel necklaces. I got a print out of Thomas and all his parts that you cut out and the kids put Thomas together (his train then the face and the wheels, roof, holes and horn) with glue sticks on paper. All these are party favors in themselves as well as the loot bag of all the other goodies I mentioned earlier!!! Then I came across the COOLEST thing....Encapsulated trains. They look like pills and you put them in warm water and they grow into these adorable sponge trains that actually interlock together and make a train. They have a circus train and a railroad train set of capsule. Each package comes with 12. My son was overjoyed and amazed to see these capsules turn into a toy. (You can order these from INSTANT PRODUCTS they have a website, but I found them at Walgreen's) We will play Thomas music and serve sandwich cut into train shapes and a ton of other goodies along with a train cake!!!!
