My daughter had a Tinker Bell party for her 4th birthday. I made INVITATIONS on Microsoft Publisher and imported Tinker Bell clip art. The invitations said Fairies fairies did you hear? _____'s Tinker Bell birthday party is coming near!" Underneath the Tinker Bell picture on the invitation I put "Wear your fairy best and we'll see you fairy soon!" For DECORATIONS I had a "Happy Birthday" Tinker Bell banner 3 dangling Tinker Bell cut-outs and Tinker Bell confetti. Other decorations included a Tinker Bell tablecloth Tinker Bell cake plates and Tinker Bell napkins. There was a Tinker Bell Mylar balloon along with pink purple and green latex balloons. I used non-Tinker Bell decorations to make the space look like Pixie Hollow. It was garden decor: flower stakes & statues. One statue was frog on a mushroom and the other was a fairy. I planned to have the party outside but we had to move it inside because of rain. All of the garden decor worked anyway because stakes went into potted plants and statues on the floor. I also made a sign that said "Welcome to Pixie Hollow." While waiting for everyone to arrive at the party I played (on repeat) the Tinker Bell Fairies soundtrack (downloaded from iTunes). 13 girls attended the party. (My daughter made 14.) The girls played with my daughter's toys while we waited for other guests to arrive. We also had PARTY SNACKS: fruit & veggie tray chips cheese & crackers and juice boxes for the girls. This website gave me some wonderful ideas as it did last year. As COSTUMES the girls all wore dress-up clothes. Most of them were fairies. (My daughter dressed as Tinker Bell and I wore wings myself posing as Queen Clarion.) For ACTIVITIES/GAMES I sent the girls on a treasure hunt. I first told them "Fairies fairies all come near Tinker Bell needs your help so get in gear! Her treasure is lost and must be found. First you must listen and gather around. You will be given a wand--something all fairies require and sprinkled with pixie dust to add the magic you desire!" Each girl was given a wand (from Oriental Trading) and a small bag for their treasure. I got the small bags from Hobby Lobby and ironed a Tinker Bell applique (also from Hobby Lobby) onto each bag. (They turned out cute!) The "pixie dust" was actually roll-on body glitter (less messy than glitter). Each girl had the body glitter in her bag. After the girls got their wands & bags I said "Inside someone's bag is a clue. If you find it we'll know next what to do!" The first clue was "You're getting closer to finding the treasure. Please help Tinker Bell find it with pleasure. Look for a red lady with black spots--a tent! Inside that place you'll get another hint!" The next clue was in my daughter's ladybug tent--I thought it fit with the Pixie Hollow theme! That clue read "Very good--you have found the last clue! Now here is the next thing you must do. You will find where the treasure does hide...up the stairs see a treasure chest and look inside!" The staircase was right next to the ladybug tent so it didn't take them long to start going up the stairs (ready to find the treasure)! Inside the treasure chest I placed their party FAVORS: Tinker Bell Fruit Flavored Snacks (Kellogg's) Tinker Bell (Fairies) stickers green Pixy Sticks flower & butterfly rings (from Oriental Trading) small nylon butterflies (also from Oriental Trading) and plastic coins. The treasure chest was from Oriental Trading (inflatable)--it is actually a cooler. All of the girls enjoyed the treasure hunt. After the girls had some time to enjoy their "treasure we had CAKE and ice cream. I ordered the cake from Wal-Mart bakery: the Disney Fairies Fairy Friends (signature) cake. It was beautiful and delicious! Overall, I think the party was a success. The fairies" had fun."
