My daughter decided that for her 3rd birthday she wanted to have a Tinkerbell party. We decided to have the party at our house. INVITATIONS: The invitations were made on the computer. I
found a picture of Tinkerbell and imported it into Word. Then I wrote: (DAUGHTER'S NAME) IS TURNING 3/ WHAT A MAGICAL TIME IT WILL BE/ PIXIE DUST, CAKE, FOOD AND FUN/ TO HER TINKERBELL PARTY
WE HOPE YOU CAN COME. Then I put the DATE, TIME, RSVP and in the WHERE section I added: FOLLOW THE SECOND STAR TO THE RIGHT AND STRAIGHT ON TILL YOU REACH (add address).
I invited the little girls to come dressed like Tinkerbell. If they did not have a Tinkerbell costume I purchased at the dollar store a bunch of fairy skirts for the the girls to wear. I had a few fairy dress up costumes so I also loaned them to the girls to play in. Since a few boys were coming to the party I decided to make them pirates. I bought Pirate swords, hats and eye patches from the dollar store for them to wear. DECORATIONS: I made my basement into PIXIE HOLLOW. I got several ideas from http://pixiehollow.go.com/. Another thing I did to decorate was I printed out Fairy's from the internet onto card stock and I hung them from the ceiling with fishing wire. So it looked like the fairies where flying over your head. I also draped the ceiling with Purple and Green crepe paper. ACTIVITES: When the children arrived the girls were sprinkied with body glitter but we called it PIXIE DUST. They also got their Fairy skirts and a Tinkerbell Tattoos. The boys got pirate tattoos along with their pirate swords, eye patches and hats. I called the parents MAINLANDERS. Each section of the room was a place in PIXIE HOLLOW and was assigned a fairy. I printed out signs in word with a picture of the fairy, wrote the name of the place and added a little paragraph below where the fairy explained what was happening in that area. For example, TINKERBELL greeted the guests as they arrived with this saying, Hello Fairies, Pirates and Mainlanders! Welcome to Pixie Hollow and (daughter's name) 3rd Birthday Party! We fairies have been awaiting your arrival and have so much planned for this special day! Fairies, don't forget to get your fairy dust and fairy skirts. All pirates must get tattoos and scurvy pirate gear to enter! Have fun!€ Hugs, Tinkerbell. Other areas included TINKERS NOOK with BOOBLE AND CLANK where the children made their own fairy wings with glitter, stickers, poster board and pipe cleaners. In SPRING REGION with ROSETTA the kids decorated PIXIE HOLLOW Posters made by Crayola with Fairy stickers included in the packet. The Crayola posters have scenes of Pixie Hollow and then you decorate them with fairy stickers. The kids were able to take these home at the end of the party. Our Playroom was called SUMMER GLADE and IRIDESSA was there. Here, the kids played with her toys. On our TV I played TINKERBELL'S LOST TREASURE and named that area VIDIA'S VIDEOS. The parents hug out upstairs in QUEEN CLARION'S CORNNER. The Food was in the kitchen area where I hung two gold stars from the ceiling. I called that area THE MAINLAND and TERRENCE invited you there. The presents area was in WINTER WOODS where SLIVERMIST asked you to leave your presents. GAMES: One place I didn't mention above was FALL FORREST with FAWN. This is where we played games. We played two games. One game was a Tinkerbell version of the hot potato game. Where they passed a around a stuffed Tinkerbell doll. The winner got a prize. The other game was WALK THE PIRATE PLANK. I had a wood plank on the floor and marked off three sections with numbers from 1 to 3 at the end of the plank. The older kids were blind folded and the little ones were not. When they reached the end of the plank they had to jump. What ever section they made it into they could pick that many prizes from my Pirate chest which was full of candy and trinkets. So if they landed in the 3 area they picked 3 prizes from the treasure chest. The parents and kids loved this game. CAKE: The cake was amazing! I have a cake lady that I use and she created a tall 3-dimensional whimsical tree where a Tinkerbell candle sat on the top of the tree. It looked like Tinkerbell flew to the top of the tree and sat down on it. This was the hit of the party! It tasted great too. FOOD: All the food was cooked by my brother-in-law. FAVORS: I gave all the kids party bags filled with Pixie sticks, candy, Tinkerbell or Pirate Stickers, and a certificate for each fairy congratulating them on their Fairy ARRIVAL DAY." I got this idea from Arrival kit at www.pixiehollow.go.com. We had a really fun birthday party. All the MAINLANDERS FAIRIES AND PIRATES all had an amazing time! "
