For my son's 4th birthday party we had a Buzz Lightyear Party. I got many ideas from here. I used store bought invitations and put RSVP to Star Command. For decorations, I just used blue, orange and lime green balloons placed everywhere outside. The tablecloths alternated the same colors. For table centerpieces, I used my son's Toy Story toys and tied balloons to them. I bought the Buzz Lightyear plates and napkins from the store as well. When the kids arrived they had some free play time outside on the swingset and sand box until everyone was there. Then we had the space rocket launch. The kids chose from Buzz, Zurg, Woody, Little Green Men and Jessie. We used the fugi film canisters (they go much higher.) The kids put in their rocket fuel ( 1/4 of an alka seltzer with 2 tsp of water) and then stood back as we watched to see who went the highest. The kids loved this as it makes a great popping sound. Then we played the claw game. Each kid received a white bag with their name and Buzz stickers all over it. We used 4 see through tupperware containers and a pair of kitchen tongs. The kids chose one item from each container. The first one had Burger King Toy Story Happy Meal toys we bought off Ebay. Then the next one had Toy Story Fruit Snacks. The next one had green army men holding suckers and the last one had toys again from Burger King (which we had already taken the papers off.)  Next we had a green army man haunt. The kids used their bags and tried to get as many hidden men they could find. Then we had a Buzz Lightyear pinata. The kids put their candy into their bags they had been using. Then there was some more free time until supper was ready- just hamburgers,hotdogs, chips and cole slaw. Then we had cake and ice cream and then the presents.
