We just had a wonderful Toy Story 2/Buzz Lightyear party for my 5 year old son.
Sent out Toy Story 2 invitations. We had 5 boys for the party, which was a perfect number of kids. When the kids arrived we gave each child a bag - I had decorated each bag with stickers from the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command cartoon (purchased at the Disney Store)and written each child's name on their bag..."Sam Lightyear of Star Command". We had hidden over 100 of the little green Army men all over the 1st floor and the kids found all of those first....this was a huge hit. The winner got to chose a prize from a prize bag. Then we played Musical Chairs to "You've got a Friend in Me" (I got the Toy Story CD from the library). Played "Pin the tail on Hamm". We also played Bingo. I had downloaded pictures from the Internet and made Toy Story Bingo cards. They used Buzz Lightyear fruit chewy candies for the markers on the cards. We then made Foam Art Door Hangers. The kids all decorated their own and I wrote each child's name on them "Geoffrey's Room", etc. They enjoyed this. We had a Buzz Lightyear cake, from the grocery store, and ice cream. Opened gifts. The kids all wanted to hide the Army men again, so while the kids played, we hid them again and played this game again....then they wanted to hide them and have the adults "find" them.....they had a ball doing this! The kids got to keep the Army men. The bags given to them for this game served also as their Goodie Bags to take home. Each got a Toy Story stadium cup, stickers, Silly Putty, glow stars, noisemaker, Buzz Fruit chews and their Door hanger that they made. All of the kids seemed to really enjoy the party.
