For my daughter's 6th birthday party, we decided to have a snowflake party. This worked out because my daughter's birthday is in January, and we always have had a hard time trying to figure what to do. We made invitations using white paper and we cut it out to look like a snow flake, and on one side we put all of the information. To make the snowflake, we first took a white piece of paper and we folded it once in half, then we folded it again. Then we cut out different shapes on the fold, (make sure not to cut the fold all the way,3-4 cut outs are good.) We ordered snowflake ortaments, from Oriental Trading. Instead of having cupcakes we made ice cream sundaes and we bought tubs of icecream, sprinkles,and hotfudge. We also took a big piece of white poster board,and we made another snowflake using the same method from the invitations. When each girl arrived we had them sign it, so once the party was over my daughter had everyone's name on there.The girls had a fun time and people still talk about it.
