My daughter and I decorated the house with snowflakes from the ceiling. We also made a real snowman outside to greet guests at the door. For a craft activity, I cut out snowflakes from coffee filters and using food coloring mixed with some water and eye droppers, the kids could make colorful tyedye snowflakes (easy for the young ones and old ones). Then each child got a carrot with their name on it for pin the carrot on the snowman. I made individual snowman cakes for the children and put out an array of decorations such as coconut for snow, m and m's for eyes and buttons, sprinkles, etc. Everyone had a lot of fun. Gift bags included snowflake themed gadgets from Oriental Trading Company but I included a package of "Snowman Soup" which is hot cocoa, marshmallows, hersey kisses and a peppermint stick.
