Southern Winter Party - As you may or may not know, winter is usually pretty tame here in Georgia. On a mid-January day it could get up to 60 degrees. So we make our own cold fun! For starters, when doing the invitations, make sure you mention to bring a change of clothes. The parents will thank you later! For the food, it all needs to be cool treats, such as frozen chocolate covered bannanas, finger sandwiches, etc. Top it off with ice cream cake or cake and ice cream. Now here comes the fun...SNOWBALL FIGHT! No, this is not real snow. This is where early preparation comes in. Take pantyhose, preferably white, and cut into sections. Tie one end of it and fill with flour, then tie the other end, there you have your snowball! Have 2 "bases" set up on seperate ends of the yard, have the snowballs in a bucket or container and let the kids fire away. Warning: This does get very messy but the kids will play forever.
