Winter Wonderland-My sons both have early January birthdays & were envious of summer birthdays with pool parties & stuff.
I decided to capitalize on winter by planning an inexpensive polar party appropriate for most ages & both sexes. We sent out invitations on snowman paper inviting people to our igloo for a winter wonderland. Decorations were snowmen, snowflakes , reindeer & penguins( if you don't have these, they are cheap at after Christmas sales!) We made a giant snowman card for guests to autograph on arrival. Our games were snowball relay using a stuffed white sock, snowball fight, (more socks), igloo building contests(sugar cubes glued onto cardboard), musical snowball, snowman pinata(homemade) & ice carving ( freeze bowls of water with a toy inside, carve with plastic knife). Dessert was a snowman cake & build your own sundaes. ,served with hot chocolate & mini marshmallows. A great time was had by all!
