For my daughters 2nd birthday, January 6, we had a winterfest. Invites had a snowman on them and read," Christmas is over, but there is more celebrating to do...Ellen Currie is turning 2. It may not snow, not even a flake, but one thing's for sure, we'll all eat cake."  For favors, I ordered snowman kits from Terry's Village for each family with kids and for grandparents and aunts, I found inexpensive snowman topped cookie stamps.  For the cakes, I used a wilton pan with 6 individual snowman on it and had one for each guest. I lighted black candles for pipes--all kids loved the chance to blow out candles!  for food, we had chili, hot dogs, chips and hot chocolate and cokes. I found inexpensive snowman sippee cups before Christmas and easily found plates and napkins- For decorations, lots of fake snow, snowflake confetti. I hung dollar store snowflakes from the chandelier and had New Year's Eve dollar store top hats as party hats.    Before Christmas, there are oodles of snowman, snowflake items available, and of course, the week after, lots of bargains.  Great for a January birthday__it didn't snow--we live near Memphis and it rarely does--but was fun.
