My birthday is coming up in September, and as I have just started a new school, I wanted to have a party that would suit having my friends from my old and new schools. i have decide on an Around the World party theme. I will ask my 12 friends to dress up in clothes relating to the country that I choose for each of them. *INVITATIONS* I am going to inflate a balloon, but not going to knot it, and then I will write the details on them, and deflate them. Then I will send them to my friends asking them to inflate them to get the info. *GAMES AND ACTIVITIES* Hopefully, i will be able to hire someone to teach us the salsa dance, or another Spanish dance, then we will do Japanese paper folding, and have a donkey shaped pinyata, to represent Mexico. *FOOD AND CAKE* For dinner, I will have a selection of different staple foods, like crossaints (France), Pizza (Italy), curry (India), popcorn (America), and pankakes and maple syrup (Canada). For my bithday cake, I am going to make burgers and chips". this is a small birthday cake for each person that looks like a burger and chips. for the bun of the burger you slice a donut in half. then for the "meat" in the middle you make a rice krispie bun in an oval shape. for "lettuce and tomatoes" on the burger you use marzipan to make the required shape. *TAKE HOMES* I am thinking of getting something small that represents each of the countries I have chosen for my party and putting them in a gift bag but I havn't quite finallised what these will be yet!
