Okay, so my seventeenth birthday is coming up, and two days after my birthday "Memoirs of a Geisha" comes out. I love that book and Japanese culture, so that weekend I'm going to
have a few friends go see it with me, and then we're going to go to a rented room at the community center that we've decorated in an oriental way with dragons and paper lanterns and candles
and for a few minutes I'm going to perform some iaido (Japanese sword fighting), and then we're going to have a banquet. There will be some Chinese food, too because not everyone likes
Japanese food. Afterwards we will play Japanese games (as soon as I find some!) and just hang out.
