My daughter has a theme tea party every year.  This year for her 4th birthday we planned a Asian tea party. I had my husband make a table low to the floor so the girls could sit on asian material pillows. We also used asian style material for table clothes. We bought lanterns to hang.  I purchased hand fans the girls could decorate themselves. At each place setting I will put small take-out boxes w/ 2 fortune cookies in each.  The goody bags are chinese shirt style gift bags.  I found combs shaped like geisha girls.  Also little purses shaped like chinese shirts.  I bought candy and snacks for the bags from an asian food company-popular candy in Asia.  I found different stickers for the theme. We bought chop sticks to eat with and also for hair styles. I will make "sushi" cupcakes, also different wraps and slice them down. I also will have egg rolls, and other basic foods from chinese menu(things I know the girls will eat) Of course the birthday girl will wear a cute japanese outfit her uncle sent from Japan.
