Birthday around the world you can set up tables for each county. This will be a very crafty party.  There is a craft that you can do for almost every country. I would suggest that you have a couple of extension cords and lots of people to help you.  There is also food for each country.  This is a party to start planning months in advance. Here are a few examples.   China, The China Booth, have a few fire works setting there. Explain that fireworks were first made in China.  They would fill bamboo with gun powder and explode them on the New Year to ward off evil spirits.  At this booth the children can make streamers with chop sticks and streamers. Have a few of birthday child's favorite Chinese appetizers, like cream cheese wontons or egg rolls. Mexico, take a couple of pieces of tissue paper.  Fold the paper like an accordion. Tie the center of the folded paper with a green pipe cleaner.  Gently pull each piece of paper towards the top center of the flowers separating each sheet of paper from the others.  Best to use bright colors.  Here there can be tortilla chips and cheese dip made with Velveeta and salsa.   Italy, Have pieces of wax paper already ready and crayon shavings. Give the kids two pieces of wax paper, and have each color of crayon shavings separated in small bowls or what ever you prefer.  have the kids put their favorite colors on one piece of wax paper, then cover with another. The adult running that booth then can cover with a towel and iron over it. The crayon will melt and it looks really pretty. Here is a food place to serve Italian Ice. Made easily with fresh fruit and ice. It is really good. Japan, Have construction paper for each child.  Have them color a picture or flowers, using crayons, markers, glitter glue, or what ever.  Fold paper like an accordion take tape and tape one end about 2 inches up and tape on down to the bottom.  On this one I made a sweet puff, I took canned biscuits and used a bottle cap to make small circles, I then fried them and rolled them in sugar. Australia, Take ordinary rocks and let the kids paint a picture on them. This is pretty simple, but you can explain early inhabitants of Australia left their mark on caves and rocks. Here we used a short bread biscuit, or as we here in America call it a cookie.  Just Short bread cookies.
