For my sisters party last year, i planned a my little pony party. It was great fun for all the girls that came. This year, she picked an around the world party. She was turning seven and one
thing she loves a lot are animals. For this party we invited 17 girls and 16 were able to come. I was told it was even more fun than last year. For the party we planned to go to seven places.
Invitations were plane tickets i made modeled on real tickerts. It had the time of departure, time of arrival back in NY and the place was birthday airpot because it was run by birthday
airlines. THe ticket was then put into a cutout ticket holder thing and given out. We bought decorations according to what Country the room would be. Since mardi gras and the chinese new year
were
coming up new oleans and china were easy decoration to find. Some places like africa were hard but i found a few things at different stores. Prior to the party i made bags suitcases" for the girls to hold thier "souviners" in. I also made a passport for each girl. when arriving at the party the girls stood in line told me the info needed in the passport (date of birth etc.) and then i took thier picture with a polaroid picture. The picture was the taped into the passport and i gave them thier seat number. THey then took thier bag and headed onto the "plane". For this i lined up lots of chairs like an airplane. After all the girls had arrived we flew to our first stop Mexico. We told them how to say hello goodbye and thank you in spanish. THen we stamped all there passports with a sun because it is sunny in mexico. They then all put thier shoes on and we went outside to do the oinata. a favorote by the mexicans. When the oinata broke the girls all got maracas as thier souvineir from mexico. We then headed the plane again. this time we headed for new orleans. once again they got thier passport stamped but this time it was musical instruments. In new orleans we played freeze dance and the prioze was masks because mardi gras wqas coming up. we then boarded thre plane and flew to Afica.. we again told them how to say hello goodbye and thank you in the native language. Here we stamped the passports as animal footprints because that was the activity we were goning to do. In africa i had drawn many animals and they guessed which one belonged to which animal. for the prize they all got animal foot stampers. Back to the plane we went and we then flew to Hawaii. Again we told them how to say hello goodbye and thank you in the native language. We stamped thier passports with tropical drink stickers. In Hawaii we did the limbo and the prizes were leis. we then went back to the plane and flew to ireland. They speak english there so there was nothing to explain. Wew put leprachaun stickers in thier passports and in ireland we searched for the leprachauns gold with many different clues i had written out. The prize here were the gold coins they had find. We then boarded the plane and flew to China. We told them the words in the language and stamped thier passport with tea stickers because they drink alot of tea. Here we had 70 red ballons on the floor and they had to pop them insode 6 ballons were pieces of a chinese dragon i had cut. Whne they found all the pieces i gave them each a dragon fan. We boarded the plane and then headed for italy. We stamped thier passports with soccer player stickers. because it is the main sport in italy. there they had pizza bagels shamrock cookies (for ireland)and a globe cake. On the cake I had marked where we visited. They all got italian cokies as the souvineir. We boarded the plane to come back and their passports were stamped with NYC stickers. They all then left. I could see the enthusiasm in the girls and i think they had lots of fun. Many mothers have told me the girls loved it. "
