I think that the perfect birthday party idea would be a zoo party.
Ahead of time, assorted animal masks could be bought (or crafted out of cardboard, paints, and other handy household items). A craft session to make party supplies with the help of your child can be a memorable experience of fun and creativity. I know that I had a wonderful time with my little Belinda. Anywho, examples for popular animal masks are zebra, lion, tiger, giraffe, rhinoceros, deer, kitty, doggy, tropical fish, elephants, and monkeys. At the party, each child can pick one to wear. Create a zookeeper mask for the birthday child to wear. Always keep a double of each animal mask with you, in case a child is disappointed at not getting the one he wanted. With the masks, make sure that they are quite colorful, for a great amount of a young child's appeal is to color. After the masks are finished, buy plastic animal toys, hats, noise-makers, and animal crackers for party gifts. Also, while at the grocery, pick up some small, plastic party cups, napkins, and plates. Green streamers (to promote a jungle atmosphere), an animal tablecloth, and large centerpieces (example is branches with large model animals). For a snack, offer little animal crackers with "leaves" (small lettuce leaves) in small plastic containers colored to resemble buckets. On the side of each container, these words can read "(child)'s Feed Bucket". Fruit punch or fruit juice can be served. Over your front door, hang a large birthday banner with the message: Happy Birthday, (child)! Welcome to the Zoo! Be sure to fill the party room with plenty of green and gray balloons, lots of streamers, and plenty of branches. You can also tie some balloons outside your house near the banner. I dearly hope that you will enjoy your zoo birthday party. My Belinda certainly did. She and I will always remember her zoo party as an exciting event in her life. Sincerely, Mooca
