Zoo party-
Invitations: The invitations are a car of a circus train within the bars is a die-cut Lion. At the top of the car is written "Have a Roaring' time at ____'s Zoo. On the back of the Lion is the invitation information. When the kids are arriving they can make lion masks out of construction paper, paper plates and string. Games begin- GIRAFFE STRETCH- hang donuts from an out stretched bar. The kids have to eat the donuts without using their hands. FEED THE SEAL- with fish bean bags toss them in a bucket from a few feet away (depending on the age of the kids). ANIMAL CHARADES- each child is given a turn to act out an animal for the friends to guess. Cake time!!! Cupcakes are easy to make look like tigers, elephants and monkey. The center cake can be a 9x9 cake with a cage on top. The cage is made out of chocolate wafer cookies and chocolate bars on the top. Place an animal cupcake inside the cake. The birthday kiddo, no doubt, will want that cupcake!! Goodie bags: I don't like goodie bags with lots of trinkets that get thrown away within a few days. For the party I found some Zoo Keeper hats, they wore them throughout the party, cups with the animal/zoo theme and the lion masks that they made were what they took home. 2 years later kids are still playing with the hats and using the cups.
