We were looking for something unique but simple & inexpensive for my son's 8th birthday party. He LOVES the show American Gladiators" so we decided to try it!
I went to the local dollar store around the 4th of July and purchased red white & blue flag motif plates cups & napkins. The day of the party I went back for red white & blue star mylar ballons for decorations. The invitations were typed on white computer paper. I rubber stamped red and blue stars on the paper to go with the theme. We held the party in our backyard & invited about 8 friends. We held "Gladiator Events" which were basically kid friendly party games that we named after the events on the show. We had: leap frog soccer dribble relay beach ball relay football toss and a water balloon toss that turned into an all out battle. The boys LOVED the water balloons. To finish the games we held an "Eliminator" contest. I set up an obstacle course in the back yard. Each boy took a turn running through the course course by himself. They had a blast. After the games we had pizza & cupcakes. Each boys received a treat bag with glow sticks and miscellaneous candy. I rubber stamped the white treat bags with red & blue stars. The boys had a great time with this theme. It was fun & very inexpensive. For all of the games I had to buy very little. I used soccer balls footballs etc. that we already had here. I would recommend this party to any American Gladiator fan!"
