Batman Party

Breakfast with BATMAN!  My son had been infatuated with BATMAN for several years, only wearing the underoos tshirt, collecting the figures, etc.  So, it was only natural to celebrate his 4th birthday with BATMAN.  We invited his entire preschool class (16 boys ranging 3-4years).

INVITATIONS: Using the internet to located the perfect clipart of the DYNAMIC DUAL running faceon, I created my own invitation.  Celebrate Jack's 4th birthday with BREAKFAST WITH BATMAN! I mailed them out 2 weeks in advance for a Saturday Morning 9 - 10:30 am.  We went over by 10 minutes. I keep parties short and fast paced for the boys full of active games, no loittering.

As the boys arrived a downloaded cd was playing with repeated BATMAN MUSIC (very cool), we had a BAT craft, Black foam paper precut into bat shape, the boys glued on google eyes and a popsicle stick (they dried during party).  We played 2 games once everyone arrived.  I used two playhut tunnel for a two team relay race.  Simple crawl through pick up a ball toss into bat cave (Black and grey painted box).  Everyone wins!  Then BAT, BAT, JOKER.  (i.e. duck, duck, goose)

While they were playing I utilized the moms who stayed (about 9 or 10). They managed my breakfast table ( already decorated and set with Black table cloth, batman plates, black cups and utinsels.  All black purchased after Halloween!!90% off CHEAP) As boys came up, moms filled cups with milk or juice, they served waffles and bacon for me. (Thanks!)

When most boys were finished BATMAN ARRIVED! (16 yrs old nephew in rented costume)  The boys about fell off their chairs!

We cleared the table and had homemade birthday cake.  I purchased the Batmasks from birthdayexpress.com instead of hats.  (Halloween black icing for "signal", royal blue, and yellow)  BATMAN sang to Birthday Boy. Once done with cake and ice cream, Batman announce he wanted the boys to join him in catching some BAD GUYS (the two GRANDPAS).  Batman passed out bat signal sweathirts and toilet paper to "tie" them up with and  Batman and his crew went looking for the bad guys. The crew sat the Badguys in chairs and wrapped them up with the toilet paper head to toe.  very funny. (I found 20 $2.00 black sweatshirts at BIG LOTS and appliquaed yellow fleece Batman signal using wonderunder. And attatched a black silky cape to shoulders of shirt.

Two years later, I still see our friends wearing them.) Lastly, open presents and the took photos of all the guests and Batman.

The goodies to take home were the SWEATSHIRTS, Bat craft, Batman mask, and bag of BATMAN goodies from dollar store.  Thank you notes were sent out promptly including the party group photo.   My BEST party yet!
