I love the look of the pre-made curling ribbon bows you can buy in the store, but I hate to spend so much money on something that will probably be thrown away. Instead, I bought a
package of barrettes at the craft store (the kind you use to make hairbows) and tied 15" pieces of curling ribbon to it, alternating the colors. I then curled the ribbon and
clipped the barrette to the gift bag or package.
The barrette cost less than 50 cents to make and only took about 10 minutes. Now the birthday girl can wear her barrette and remember her party every time she does. This idea also works well with balloons (not inflated). Just tie the balloons on, alternating the direction of the spout.
